Scarf – Αmphorae
Handpainted silk scarves with hand finished edges. Silk that is produced in nothern part of Greece, and then is covered in painting by hand. Amphorae and ceramic utensils are depicted here.
They were used to store wine and oil. The name amphora comes from the adverb amphi and the verb carry. Amphoras were invented in ancient Greece and adopted by the Romans as the main means of transport and storage of wine, oil and other foods. Their use was widespread in the Mediterranean region until the 16th century.
